Question: I have developed a kind of white "layer" on my tongue and gums recently. I've not had it before but it leaves my tongue sore and rough-textured. I've had it for about a week now and I don't know how I got it. Hope someone can help me because it's starting to bug me

Call the doctor and ask about it - I believe it sounds like a thrush infection. You will need to take care of this before it gets worse!

It is thrush and needs to be treated by an oral antifungal. It will only get worse if not treated.
