Question: I need this for my Science Homework, and I can't figure it out.
Type (Blank Number ___) (Answer here)

The heart beats regularly because it has it's own pacemaker. The pacemaker is a small region of muscle called the Sinoatrial, or SA, node. It is the upper block wall of the right (Blank Number 1) ____________. The (Blank Number 2) ___________ node triggers an impulse that causes both atria to (Blank Number 3) ___________. Very quickly, the impulse reaches the atrioventricular, or AV, node at the bottom of (Blank Number 4) ____________ atrium. I got the info from the above site.
1) Atrium
2)SA
3)contract
4)right
5)AV
6) right and left ventricle

Good luck

blank 1 = Atrium
blank 2 = SA (sinoatrial) node
blank 3 = contract
blank 4 = right
blank 5 = AV (atrioventricular) node
blank 6 = ventricles

Hope that helps! =]

and for the answer below, blank 2 is not AV and blank 5 is not SA, the impulse starts at the top of your heart, where the SA node is located, and moves to the inner regions of your heart (where your AV node is located). That is why the nerve impulse starts at the top, and moves to the bottom (atrial = top chambers of heart/ ventricles = bottom chambers)

This site will show you the node location: http://biology.about.com/library/organs/...

atrium
AV
contract
right
SA
atria

Is this your homework? IF it is you won't learn about the heart this way.
