When a woman has a mastectomy, is the nipple removed also?!

Question: Yes. If a woman has a mastectomy they remove all breast tissue. My aunt had a double mastectomy and they removed all breast tissue including the nipple to be as sure as possible that they got all the cancer. There are ways that a nipple can be constructed out of other tissue, though.
