Asthma or heart palpations?!

Question: lately i have been getting what i thought was heart palpations. It was like i thought a skipped beat but then like a loss of breath (usually when like running up stairs or getting excited or out of breath) sometimes out of no where.
The other day i took my inhaler because i have had exercise induced asthma but it has never really bothered me and i didn't get that feeling all day. not only that but i didn't get it for that whole day and half of the next day (which is a great improvement since i was getting it at least once a day before)
Do you think i misjudged the feeling in my chest as heart palpations and it's really me wheezing?
The inhaler seemed to work and i just dont think that if it was heart palpatations that the inhaler would do anything.
Anyone have any ideas?

well i have asthma and i feel your pain. asthma can just be a ***** sometimes. it might be from 2 things. 1) your bronchial tubes are tight and you need air cause your tired and you need your inhaler, making your heart work harder cause your breathing harder. so thats why you feel heart palpatations. Or 2) you have an irregular heart beat, cause by many things. i would check it out and make sure that this is normal for yourself. everyone is different and living with asthma can just be a pain. best wishes.

Tell your doctor. If its nothing, then you'll feel better knowing, for sure. If it is your heart, then its nothing to be asking people on yahoo about!
