What type of meter do you use to test?!

Question: and what do you like/dislike about it?

Answers: and what do you like/dislike about it?

I think it is called accucheck advantage?

It is whatever one my insurance paid for ;) I had no problem with it...but can't really compare it to anything else since I was diabetes free till the little one came along. I find out on the 3rd if I still have it after my 2 hour tolerance comes back...

I use a Paradigm Link meter.

It goes with my pump...automatically transmits the results to the pump. I have an Accuchek Compact as a back up.

EMT

Freestyle Flash. It is small, so it is easy to carry around. Also very accurate.

Glucoplus. It is very accurate, requires a very small drop, tests in less than 15sec, stores 152 readings and download to computer, longer strip for easy handling, application of blood from both right and left angles, capillary action, very economical and free lancets with every box of strips.

I liked your question and your attitude. I use an OmniPod insulin pump and my PDM has a meter that uses Freestyle strips. I love the pump and the PDM

I use the Accu-Chek Compact Plus. I HATE it! I hate that it uses drums, I hate the noise it makes when the drum is spinning around to the next strip, and I dont think its as accurate as my old meter. I had to switch meters because the insurance company quit paying 100% of the cost for one touch ultra. I'll be going back to One Touch ASAP

I know, people are so preachy on this subject. I use the One Touch Ultra 2 meter. They're all expensive, they're all a ripoff, but this the one my insurance covers. So I guess that's the main thing I like! It works just fine, and I like that I can download the numbers to analyze them. I don't like that you have to turn it upside down to put a strip in and load the blood...seems like a stupid design. I used to use AccuChek years ago and also liked that one fine, I liked the comfort curve strips.
