I did get the flu shot, and here are my reactions:
It was like any other shot in terms of pain - I would compare it to a Hepatitis shot or a tetanus shot. My arm was a bit sore for about 3 days afterwards and I felt a little more achy and tired than usual. I wouldn't say that I had an out-of-the ordinary experience. I didn't; however, get the flu when lots of my friends did (4 of my friends got the flu), so perhaps that's a statement to its effectiveness.
The best way to avoid the flu is to wash your hands and avoid touching your face..yes the flu shot does help prevent the flu but hand washing is most preventative
the flu shot is trough your nose btw.
i thought it was a real [[pointy]] shot and it turned out it wasnt
its just a liquid that is shot up ur nose
its feels really cool

My results from the flu shot are that I have not once had the flu since I started getting a flu shot each year.
Other options for avoiding the flu are to isolate yourself for the duration of the flu season. Don't have contact with other people.
