I used to have the same problem. I have heard that excess conditioner after you shampoo and condition your hair causes clogged pores. However, I rewashed by back arms and chest after I conditioned my hair and it did not help me. Also, don't expose your skin to sun or tanning beds as some would say. My mom would tell me to do that but I learned more about it and found that sun exposure does help AT FIRST. But sun irritates and skin and can cause inflammation and the ance to come back ten times worse than it was when it started. I know, it happened to me just the like the doctor said it would.

I used to have HORRIBLE acne all over my face and body. I tired everything to get rid of it and nothing worked. I went to see my dermatologist and since mine was what they call "nodular ance" (those really painful, big zits that you can feel little cysts or nodules under the skin that take 2-3 weeks to heal and leave scars), she suggested Accutane. It is a pill that is prescribed for extreme acne cases (nodular or body acne), but I've been cured! I highly recommend it.

Here's what you need to know about Accutane though. If you are a girl it is important that you do not get pregnant while on Accutane. Accutane is almost guaranteed to cause extreme birth defects or fetal death ONLY IF YOU GET PREGNANT WHILE TAKING THE MEDICATION. You will have to go for a pregnancy test one month before you start the medicine, every month while taking it for a pregnancy test and test for liver function, and one month after you finish the medication for a pregnancy test. You also will get your prescription for the next month on these visits. You will have to use two forms of birth control while on the medication unless you pledge abstinence and you must get online take quizzes about birth control to guarantee that you understand the birth control regimen. It is not as bad as it sounds, they just want to guarantee that no child will be born with birth defects. For guys it has not effect on birth defects.
It is usually prescribed for 4-6 months at different strengths depending on your size, the severity of the acne, and the doctor's judgment. I took it twice a day. My insurance also covered the Accutane which was great!
If you decide to take it, expect your skin to be very dry and thin. You will need a lot of moisturizer and chap-stick! I had very oily skin before I took the medication and my oily skin is gone. It was a little too dry during the time I took the med but I got some moisture back in my skin after I quit taking the Accutane and my acne is gone for good!!
Just watch how much vitamin A you eat while on the Accutane because there is a lot of vit A in it which can cause problems if you get too much. Nothing to worry about just look at your nutrition facts and be mindful.

I hope all of this helps. Some people are afraid of Accutane because this seems like a lot but it really isn't anything if getting rid of your acne is imporant to you and it was me. I was ashamed constantly. I couldn't wear swimsuits or tank tops or halter tops. I even had it on my chest and was stuck wearing turtlenecks in the summer half the time. It was miserable but my worries are gone. Accutane really works!

Check out this website and talk to your doctor.

proactiv...

Use Netrogena Body scrub when you go in the shower, put something with benzyl peroxide on your back everyday, and use a toner like witch hazel.

Change your sheets more often

tanning beds clear up your skin

antibiotics. - tetracycline, doxycycline...ask ur doc

Hmm sulfur soap is great for that...rub it in real good and then let it soak in for a minute or two. Sun always helps, once it gets warm enough and sunny enough sit in your backyard for 30 minutes or so where no one can see you. You could also go to the dermatologist and ask them to prescribe you the body wash they give for that. Some kind of benzoyl somethin, don't remember :/
