My Mom is really sick. She has a infection that is eating away at her eye socket!
Question: This has been going on for a while and last night i took her to the hospital and they did a CAT scan and a chest x-ray and they found that the infection has spread to her brain and she now has a lestion on her brain. The doctors wanted to do a spinal tap and she refused. She thinks that GOD is going to heal her and the doctor told her that if she didn't do the spinal tap and see where else the infection has spread then she would die. What do i do??

Tell her God put the doctors here to help her. And God put her here to be your mother. She is failing God by not taking care of herself.

Just pray. Your mom seems to have an unshakable faith in God so nothing you say is going to change her decision. I know you can't help but worry because that's your mom but all you can do is pray.
Find some adult whose opinions your mother respects and will listen to. She needs to understand that if she wants to be around for you in the future, she needs to not just trust in God but to "cover all the bases" and trust in science as well. Best of luck.

Tell your mom that God work through the hands of the doctor to help her.
talk to her doctor, he can declare her unfit to make decisions due to the brain lesion, then you can have her treated before this kills her.
I am so sorry, there are so many deadly infections out there, you can try to save her, but act fast. good luck.
You need to convince your mom that yes will God will heal her, but sometimes He uses doctors to do it. This sounds like one of those times. Your mom needs to go and get that spinal tap. God will help those who help themselves. Your mother needs to help herself so that the doctors can figure out where all the infection has spread and get on the road to recovery. Good luck and hope everything works out for the best.
As hard as this is to say there's really not too much you can do. If your mother is with it enough to be able to make her own decisions then you have to let her do that.
Why don't you try talking to her and telling her that it would make you very happy if she would have the spinal tap so that you can find out where else the infection has spread and hopefully save her life. If she still refuses to go through with the spinal tap then I'm afraid you'll have to accept that as you can't force her to do it.
Hopefully your mom will be receptive of your feelings and go through with the tap. If not then just make sure she understands the consequences of not having the tap.

Try to explain to her that god doesn't always save people, and sometimes babies, and the faithful and people who've done no harm, somehow wind up dying. So if god doesnt come through for them, he may not come through for her.
then, explain to her that her family needs her and she should consider them first.
Now, i'm not one for trying to turn people off of religion, but in this case, it might be for her own good... if all that i wrote above doesn't work, then the final straw would be to simply convince her that god doesn't exist. maybe then, she'll come to her senses.
