Is coffee with caffine in it bad for a diabetic?!

Question: A lot of people say caffeine is bad for diabetics, and they are probably right. I have been diabetic for 13 years and I drink 3-4 servings a day and I am fine. I don't even know what I would do if they took my coffee away!! I can live with diabetes but not without coffee!!

Funny thing is that all coffee has caffeine. Even decaf still contains a small amount.

I don't think so, I've been taking care of an 80 year old woman for 2 years who's a diabetic, every morning I have to check her blood for her and give her her pills, and every morning she drinks 2 large cups of regular coffee with Splenda of course.

caffeine does not worsen diabetes.relax ,you can take Coffey.

Caffeine is no worse for a diabetic than it is for anyone else. Maybe people think that because hydration is key when experiencing hyperglycemia and caffeine negates hydration. More likely though, it's because diabetics have the stigma that they're made of glass and if it's bad for you and me, it'll just about kill them.
