Well, not everyone. For example, someone who has not been sexually active probably doesn't need that test. If you are sexually active and they suspect something or even just to be sure, they might run one.

No they do not usually do unless you say something. When you say standard prodcedure do you mean in a pap? If so no they do not unless they see or notice something is not normal. If your concerned you can alway make an appt for an std check and they should check you for all of the above with blood work.
