Depending on what kind of toxic black mold you come into contact with and how much of it will depend on your symptoms mainly chronic fatigue (unlike the fatigue you get after a long day of work or not enough sleep) headaches, memory loss, flu/cold like symptoms and breathing problems. Without treatment the symptoms can last for months or years. Mold produces Mycotoxins which are biotoxins that enter the human body and naturally are not removed unless you use a FDA approved drug that removes biotoxins from the body., The best doctor to get into is a doctor who has experience in mold illness or a neurologist.

I'd say the best thing to do is to see your regular doctor and ask about it. a few years ago I had a family who had their entire house filled with mold, they had been living in it for some time and they simply left will it was being taken care of and then returned without a problem. Since your older however I'd say the easiest thing to do is to simply see your normal doctor and ask, they are the specialists after all.

i demolished a room at place i was living that was covered in black mold and i will tell you its not a good thing to be exposed to that stuff. dont panic though cause everyone's immunities are different than others, but i wasnt feeling good like always dizzy couldnt breath very good and constant headaches since then i went to a docter who ran some tests and found that i had a fungal infection in my lungs. but i was in there for a long time with no windows open and no mask. but if you feel fine then you may be ok, but if you are worried then you need to go to get tests done. black mold is the most dangerous of all molds out there.

Black mold doesn't appear to cause long-lasting effects - all the symptoms usually disappear a short while after people move out of a moldy environment. Symptoms attributed to mold are nasal and throat irritation, suppression of blood cell production, and misc. neurological disorders (mostly headaches). There is no medical test, partly because there is no apparent pathway for mold to cause long-term problems, so no one knows what to test for. Because of the uncertainty, some medical researchers are not sure whether black mold actually causes problems, because black mold almost always occurs with some very toxic bacteria, and its possible all the problems attributed to mold are actually caused by the bacteria. The type of doctor that specializes in infections is a pathologist.
