How to recover from Food Poisoning?!

Question: My girlfriend is having to deal with food poisoning. She said, she ate something and after few hours she was feeling extreamly bad and she had intense fever. She did go to doctor on that day and was admited for a day. It has been four days now, but she still seems to have the fever during sleep and can't eat anything because everything just comes up!

How long it usually takes to get back to normal?

Thanks in advance!

thats terrible! i really really really hope she feels better, that is honestly the worst. don't worry about it, she'll get better soon. tell her to try and drink some ginger ale to calm her stomach down. also, saltines are good. even some dry cheerio's. tell her to stay away from anything that she knows will upset her stomach. ughhhh i feel so bad for her ): i really hope she feel better soon and hopefully its just a bug and not food poisening! tell her to get a good night rest and drink lots of fluids! slow slips though lol.

I suggest you go back to the doctor something is not sounding totally like food poisoning

Drink lots of fluids and eat lots of yogurt.

It is normal to feel like this with food poisoning, but she needs to drink lots of fluids and eat even though she just gets sick again, but check with the doctor again, usually your body will purge its self of food poisoning within a couple of days.

I had f/p ( bad fish ) I was in the hospital 4 days, just drink clear liquids until she can stand foods.

Food poisoning infections disappear within 48 hours, but a few take around 5 days. She probably needs to go back to the doc to be put on antibiotics.
