Help..having hard time breathing?!

Question: It all started today during math class. We were taking a very hard math test and (i know this sounds silly...:/ but) i think i mightve stopped breathing for a while or breathed really slow for a while. Anyway after that class if i walked fast my upper chest would hurt and i wouldnt be able to inhale normally. I cannot walk/junk without it hurting. Even as i lay down in bed i feel like im having a shortage of breathe and my chest begins to hurt. Can somebody please tell me whats wrong? I have scheduled a doctors appointment but I'm in desperate need for advice to stop this pain.

Do you live near polluted areas? (Such as near the train tracks, highways, busy roads, Factory).

Is there are a virus going around your environment? Like flus and colds, leading to bronchitis, even.

Do any of your older friends, relatives or neighbours smoke? If someone smokes near you, then you take almost the same amount of poison they are taking in.

There's an endless list of possibilites! It could be serious, like something 'broke' in your lungs. If you could tell us mroe of your symptons, then I could research it for you! But, your doctor appointment would be the most convenient.

For asthma, a sympton the person may feeling is a tight chest. (Like tight rubber bands around your chest). Later, the coughing may start.

My guess-anxiety attack

Sounds like you're having an anxiety attack.

sounds like you might be getting an infection in your bronchi.

Or may be you are getting asthma - are you a smoker or exposed to any potential allergans.

I started having chest pains once, but it was just a muscle spasm, and I had a big test that day. I just took some muscle relaxants and painkillers and I was good the next day.

I was in so much pain that I wanted to go to the hospital, but I decided to wait for a couple more hours (stupid, I know) and I turned out fine. I don't advise doing so, but try taking some painkillers like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen.

Anxiety can be accompanied by a variety of physical symptoms. Most commonly, these symptoms are related to the heart, lungs, nervous, and gastrointestinal systems. You may have upset stomach, diarrhea, trouble breathing, feel as if you may faint or are having a heart attack.
Problem anxiety may be caused by a mental condition, a physical condition, the effects of drugs, or from a combination of these. The doctor's initial task is to see if your anxiety is caused by a medical condition. Conditions as varied as anemia, asthma attack, infection, drug intoxication or withdrawal, or a number of heart conditions are just a few examples of medical problems that can be associated with anxiety.
