Is it possible to "cure" asthma?!

Question: I'm 36, and had asthma as a child as well (when I was 1, "got over" the asthma when I hit 2).

There is no cure for asthma. Asthma is a genetic or phsyologic predisposition for a specific set of reactions that take place in the lungs and although some people do regress and seem to 'cure' themselves as they grow up. They never truly out grow the DNA coding. You see as you age you body stretchs and rearanges itself, hormones also come into play. Once everything is settled down and you hit the big "4" "0" your body will start to reawaken the dormant genes that reacted to things like pollen and ragweed, etc. The good news is that asthma is one of the most treatable diseases on the planet and that we are developing new drugs all the time. The old drugs that are good for mild to moderate asthmatics are becoming cheaper and much easier to deliver such as battery powered nebulizers. so while we don't out grow the disease. We can out grow the control it had on us and now we can control it.

I wish.

I believe that your body will cure it for you, and practicing certain things will make your body cure it faster and more efficiently.

It may depend on the cause of asthma. Because there are different forms of asthma with different causes. In some cases the cause is purely physical, in others, the cause is purely psychological, and in others it is mixed. Even when the cause is physical, there are different physical sources of asthma, since the asthma itself is more of symptom than a disease. A symptom that can be very distressing, and even dangerous. Many people with asthma have found complete relief simply by moving to a different climate. Humidity, or radical temperature changes are not good for an asthma sufferer. I suggest you consult with a specialist on respiratory illnesses, as each case is different.

Sorry, there is no cure.I know,i have it too.

I am not a doctor but base on my observation in my friends and their fathers, it can be prevented but can never be cured

In your case and similar ones, the short answer is yes. Some infants and children diagnosed with asthma will "outgrow" it. Unfortunately, most others are stuck with it for life.

its an old wives tail, it may or not be true but they say having a chiwowa Dog sleep with you will relieve the asthma and eventually cure you, like I say just and old wives tail but many old wives have cured a lot of illnesses

yes it is possible, depending on bad it is and the environment u live in.
