Any home remedys for eczema?!

Question: The best thing for eczema is evening primrose oil capsules. Not to take with a glass of water but slit one open and spread the oil of the eczema every morning and evening and it will start to clear within 3 days. This was recommended to me by a friend and I've tried it and it works better than any chemical cream you can get from a chemist and much kinder to your skin. It's good for any area of dry skin patches too even the face!
Hope the eczema goes quickly.

Avocado flesh. You can slice it into little bits and freeze it on a tray, then keep it in a tub, as eating an avocado every time you want to put some on will upset your balanced diet.

You can also add horse chestnut leaves to a bath.

None.

You should see a dermatologist.

Sea Salt in the bathwater

Aveeno Cream - buy from pharmacy

Oatmeal added to the bathwater - place in a muslin bag

Lavender Oil added to bathwater

Use an eco-washing powder such as Ecover to wash the clothes - also after they've rinsed put them on an additional rinse cycle to make sure all the powder is rinsed out.

NEVER use fabric softener!

heredity and genetics play a vital role in passing eczema from one generation to another. it may appear at some point in your lives especially when the immune system is low. it can also be triggered by skin irritants and allergens.

to avoid eczema flare ups there are lot of things to consider like:

* keeping fingernails trimmed
* using an all natural moisturizer throughout the day will be helpful in keeping skin moist
* hydrating the skin by drinking loads of water
* avoiding foods that are processed and that have preservatives
* use natural fabrics that are soft
* avoid tight, rough and scratchy clothes
* do not sweat it, avoid activities that makes you sweat
* avoid temperatures that are extremely hot and cold
* avoid drastic change of weather
* try not to scratch the infected area
* watch and check out diet
* avoid long baths
* get rid of skin irritants like dust and pollens

my son has the same problem. try baby oil after each bath use hydrocortisone cream.

Its not a home remedy - but completely natural. Probiotics. Primadophilus Reuteri or Bifidus.

My son's skin is like new when he takes this. We now have a maintenance dosage of one capsule a day.

We dont worry about what he eats but we are careful with washing detergents. Though have noticed recently even these dont seem to be a problem since he has been on the probiotics.

Cant rate it enough - its been an absolute saver.
