Question: When i get stressed out, I have frequent acne breakouts. I use noxema and that helps control the acne, but afterwards dark spots are left. What are some good products that control acne as well as removes the dark spots?

First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.

Sweat naturally cleanses your skin, so be sure to exercise often!

This mask should help, mix 1 tablespoon of dried or fresh yeast with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice; apply on face, wait until it gets hard (try not to move), peel or wash with warm water. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

you need to tackle it internally. go to a dermitologist for some anitbiotics/accutane. or u can go on the pill. using topical products make the spots worse.

I think you should consult a dermatologist, I went to one and paid cash because it was that important to me.. If you think about it they specialize in skin care so they will be able to provide you with the best products for the results your looking for! I was very happy with my results im also african american and it helped that the doctor was too.. Good luck with that :)

I used Roacotaine by ROCHE. I took it for 6 months, once per day. it worked after 2-3 months all my acne was gone...but I am still suffering from side effects. I don't know why....for so many people it works and the side effects finish after some time but not for me.

However I would suggest you to keep your skin dry. Acne apears on oily skin parts.

Pro Active

You could look into a natural acne cure. See the source below.

if you really need help contact me, futbol491@aol.com i have many options for you.

I have been on every medication out there from acutane to creams for the past 10 years....the ONLY thing that is helping me is laser treatments and acid peels...a little expensive but very worth it. My advice is keep up on washing your face, cleaning pillow cases, dont touch you face and watch out for greasy food. Drink LOTS of water and eat plenty of fresh fruit and veggies. Stress also makes it worse...when i stress out i break out much more.

Retina-A also works great, it drys out your skin which is what i have to do in between my acne laser treatments.

good luck!
