Can anyone reccommend an alarm / timer to take blood sugars?!

Question: I need to take my blood sugar every 3 hours while awake for about a month. I work and am running place to place. Does anyone have a personal alarm they suggest that is easy to use and set the time on it often?

Use your cell phone. Most watches don't have multiple alarms anyway. Since this is for medical purposes, your employer can't tell you that you can't use the alarm on your cell for this purpose. Keep the phone on vibrate and out of sight.

Of course, you could always go try to find a watch that has multiple alarms.

When I have to do what you're doing, I set my insulin pump to vibrate every 4 hours. When it does, the screen flashes "CHECK BG" to remind me. It's just about impossible to ignore it.

since you're running back and forth, you really don't need to carry something. I would at first say a watch, but, i dint like that idea. Heres the only thing i can think of, you can get pedometers, they are used for measuring how far you walk. It will clip to your belt of purse, you will probably have to set the alarm each time, but that's about the best i can come up with. Also, set alarms on your cell phone, that would be just as easy, if not better. Easier to set than anything else i mentioned. Actually, you may be able to preset your phone for 3 different alarm times. Check and see. Hope i gave you a little hope.

I would set my alarm on my cell phone to remind myself to check my daughter at night (midnight and 3am). If you have a watch with an alarm, you can just reset it after you check each time for 3 hours. Pretty soon you will be on a routine to where you will remember, but that might help for now. Running around a lot tends to make you lose track of time. ;-)

Good luck!

i would set my watch or cell phone to remind me every three hours. but that would also mean that you would have to have the things needed just in case your sugar is low but you know what those things are so carry them with you jut for gp

I would still use your cellphone personally.

It's medical reason, that's valid, if they don't like it, then you should ask them if they have any ideas (politely of course!) as you're out of them!

there are digital watches that stay set for every day... i dont suppose you have a pump, huh? they have alarms.

I set my phone for every two hours. When it goes off I reset it for another two hours. On the days I do that, my levels are the best.
