If you don't get antibiotics for strep, it can turn into rheumatic fever (which can damage your heart). There are plenty of things you can do to make your sore throat feel better, but this particular bacteria could kill you without appropriate treatment.

Also, because of the swelling that often comes with strep, your ears are likely to be somewhat plugged up. It wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't hear yourself correctly.

Gargle with salt water...drink tea with honey...swallow a spoonful of olive oil. And then see a doctor to get rid of the infection.

See a doctor. No money? Go to a community health clinic. Strep throat is a streptoccoccous infection. You need an antibiotic to get rid of it. Don't be chaep when it comes to yur health...after all it is your biggest asset.

gargle with warm water, salt and vinegar, but u do need to get some antibiotics since strep is a very serious infection.

Well, if you do actually have strep then yes you need antibiotics to get rid of it. Go to a local clinic or see if your doc will let you pay like half and half or something. If you don't have insurance just tell the doc and they really don't have to do lab work if your otherwise healthy. They can probably just give you a round of antibiotics and send you on your way. Strep can be dangerous if left untreated.

Dont mess with strep throat. It can cause more problems..let alone being extremely painful.
Are you sure its strep?? Is it hard to swallow and do you have spots on the back of your throat?
Go to the Dr and get an antibiotic. When I had strep, it started clearing up the next day.
CALL the DR!!
