Use some clearsil (vanishing cream ($20)), your pimple will disappear in about 2 days, which is super fast, believe it or not. And use some good moisturizer and cover-up.
I would not suggest popping pimples, it generally leads to scarring. Just use cream, wash your face, exfoilate, and use an oil free moisturizer!
If you don't moisturize after cleansing you fill find that your pores will release extra oil to make up for the stuff you stripped away. MOISTURIZE!

i haven't used it myself but ive heard really good things and read really good reviews on neutrogena acne fading peel....its a little on the expensive side but everyone said that you could see results after the first use so i plan on getting some! and soooon.
