Question: I have really dry skin. Especially in the morning, i can't even smile properly. I look like an old women when I do :(. I used to have severe acne. But now it's gone, but I still use the medication. I use Differin and Solugel, and i wash my face with Cetaphil..

If you're not experiencing severe acne any more, wean yourself off the prescription medication. Cetaphil is very harsh on facial skin and can strip your lipid barrier. I'm not saying not to use it. Just not every day. Find yourself a plain old cleanser, maybe with seaweed properties. I will reccomend Repechage, but I don't know your budget. Oatmeal is also good for most skin types. It sounds like your skin is severly dehydrated. Thats because the medicines you are on remove dead skin layers chemically. Too much of that will thin your skin which sounds like what is going on with you. You need hydratio to plump your skin again to get it healthy. And please use sunscreen, esp with the meds you are on. Email if you need more info, I'm a skin care specialist...............C

Those acne treatments are very drying. Can you stop using them now? At night moistorize with organic rosehip oil. Each day drink 2 litres of water and one glass of organic carrot, apple and alfalfa sprout juice. Also take a tablespoon of flaxseed oil. This really helps cos i used to have dry skin too :)
