HIV ... how long it can be NOT detected by tests? Can it be not detected after 3!

Question: The ten years thing is totally false. HIV is almost always detectable by a blood test within 6 months of infection. Without treatment, usually AIDS develops within ten years. People confuse testing positive for HIV and having AIDS. They are two different things. It is pretty much impossible to have HIV for 3 years and test negative.

It can go undetected for 10 last I heard. That may be old information, though.

Get tested after every partner.

it used to be three monnths. might be less now. I suppose it's possible after 3 years of you have the genetic mutation that some northern europeans have that protects them from HIV but I'm not toally sure how that mutation works

ive heard of cases that have gone as far as 12 years just in this country alone ,which bring me to another point where are all the doc s at and have you noticed that they have become very cold

It's NOT detected by tests for 6 months. So, relax!
