I have just found a worm in my toilet bowl. help please?!

Question: If you are eating don't read on. It is about the length of a matchstick but thinner (about a pencil lead thickness). It looks like an earthworm including the enlarged section which is quite near what I assume is the front end.

I have four children and only just treated the lot of us (one week ago) with Combantrum after my 15 year old reported white thread worms in his stool. None of us have any obvious symptoms. Although my youngest child has been wheezy at times and has been treated for possible Asthma for the last year or so. The rest of us only really get to the doctor very occasionally and are generally quite well. We have dog, cats, chickens

I am thinking roundworm but have not ever seen one and can't get a clear enough photo when I search to be 100% sure. I have taken a photo and have the still living and squirming monster in an envelope.

I have already shaken my fist at the sky.
What is my next step?

Fist at sky - Check
Nothing to panic about just take a sample to the Dr he will give you pills and it will be gone.

I had a coworker who was Vietnamese and she had this happen to her more than once. It was no big deal to her; it was almost a routine. She would eat allot of Susi and went back home on occasion.

You could keep them as pets and they will help you loose weight LOL

kill it, and take it into the doc, they can diagnose what it is better than off of here, and can perscribe the appropiate meds.

I would get that to the doctor right away.. they will probably have to test the whole family to find out which one has it.. or more than one could have it... . if you could find it in the toilet I would say they could spread easily... good luck to you.. if you have a water steamer cleaner use it.. on everythng that you can.. you can buy them at Big Lotts.. If you get the one that cleans the floor too .. its the best one.. it really disinfects things.. and you are going to want to disinfect everything in the house..

If you take it to the doctor make sure you make it clear that if he takes it fishing you should morally be entitled to at least a fillet of the fish he catches.

You have to treat everyone and the f @%*ing animals to prevent recurrence.

You may also consider the possibility that it is only an earthworm that got in through a gap in the pipes where tree roots go through.
