Seriously put salt on it, it will sting but it really does clear them up I can guarantee it.
Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide with 10 parts water. Rinse twice daily, but spit it out, don't swallow it! =P
Worked like a charm for me.
The 1 that worked best for me was called "Mouth Sore mouth wash" It was really really good at it helped alot. Another thing to help the pain a little would be some numbing stuff you can get at CVS.
Well...I always used to put a little salt on them. BEWARE! this is extremely painful but it did sure dry those suckers up pretty quick.
THE DRINK Ricard!! or if you really don't fancy the alcohol have bonjela instead! The Ricard is more fun!
I'll tell you what the paediatrician told me when my baby son had them, I can give you something that will get rid of them in 7 days, or you can wait a week and they'll go by themselves.

Go to your pharmacy and ask for Adcortyl in Oralbase. It's not very pleasant. It doesn't sting, but it works really quickly.
