Do US (Texas) hospitals test for herpes in presurgery bloodwork?!

Question: An expartner has tested positive for genital herpes, and I have had surgery and bloodwork since then. I will get tested anyway, but i am wondering if the test has likely already been performed.

Testing for herpes is not standard prior to an operation. They usually just test your blood for a blood count (to make sure you're not anemic), platelets (to see that you are not at risk for bleeding) and electrolytes (sodium, pottasium), kidney function (BUN/ Creatinine) and glucose.

No, they do not test for herpes at part of pre surgery testing in the US.
