Is it safe for a diabetic with stage 3 kidney failure to use colon cleansers?!

Question: I would have to say no, when you use "colon cleansers", whatever exactly that is, you put yourself at risk, there are certain bacterial " flora" in the intestine that keep each other in check, and manage to live in harmony in there, "C-diff"( Clostridium Difficile) is one of the ones you don't want to get all multiplying and out of control, it will lead to uncontrollable diarrhea, dehydration, metabolic acidosis, in diabetics, DKA(Diabetic Keto Acidosis), electrolyte imbalance...none of that is at all a healthy situation, worse yet, could lead to a life-threatening situation, please, if this is not just a hypothetical situation, consult your physician before self medicating, "colon cleansing" (somehow, that always sounds scary to me, like you gonna give your colon a "blow-out", or some shyt, I dunno)...use caution, err on the side of safety, Chronic Renal Failure, with Diabetes is enough of a load to carry and maintain, don't complicate things by adding to it, lol...

I'm not sure, ask your doctor. You had better be very careful what you put into your body now, my brother went through kidney failure but he did get a transplant. I remember how it was for him, he was scared of even regular meds (but he takes things too far sometimes on stuff like this). Theoretically speaking, if the cleanser does not take fluid out of your body, or especially if it does not put fluid in your body, it might be safe unless it has something like potassium in it. I can't remember all the things you have to avoid but now potassium is one of them.
