Question: okay my mom ALWAYS does this. she will turn on the stove, but the pilot light wont light the flame you know what im saying? so its just the stuff coming out. how bad is that to be around?? im 15 weeks pregnant and the woman always does it and DOES not realize...

Tell her to start watching it so she doesn't blow the place up sky high! It can be hazard to you and the baby, but it seems you already know she does this so I'm hopeful that you go outside occasionally for fresh air? Just bust a move for wide open skies whenever she does this if she still refuses to watch for the flame in the future.

It's bad, and it begs the question: how long does she leave it on. If it's only for a brief second, no harm, no foul. But any longer than that and not only is it bad to breathe, it's an extreme fire hazard!
