I know it's made for mouth cold sores - but Abreva DOES work VERY VERY well for genital herpes as well.
Put a tiny tiny amount on the sores - too much will cause them to get gooey & stay open

There is no cure. You will be infected forever. But you can get treatment for the outbreaks. Yes, you must go to a doctor to get diagnosed and get the medicine prescribed. It is called valtrex. You can now pass this to any future partners even if you are outbreak free. Get to a doc soon. No, you can not get meds otc.
No... being embarrassed about STDs and not wanting to go to a doctor is deadly. See your doctor to know for sure!
