Oily Skin && Dry Skin 0__0?!

Question: I have oily & dry skin. It's terrible. I feel dirty..I wash my face 2-3 times a day and use cetaphil lotion cream because of my dry skin. Without the lotion I break out and stuff but I think it causes it to be more oily too. I'm really frustrated. It just looks terrible. Thank you so much if you can help me :).

I am guessing that you have dry skin with an oily t-zone. This is pretty common, especially with teenagers. Your t-zone includes your forehead, nose and chin. I completely understand your need to use a moisturizer in spite of this. If I skip my lotion on the morning I feel like my face is going to crack when I smile! Try using an astringent on your oily areas only (this will zap the oil), and applying moisturizer only to your cheeks and other dry patches. Try Stridex wipes, they are quick and easy. I use them once a week but you may need to use them more frequently depending on how oily your skin is. Keep in mind the astringent may even out your skin enough that you can apply lotion all over without a problem. Everyone's skin is different so you'll have to see what happens.

Theres this lotion, you can get it at bath & body works...its in a glass bottle and its called cotton blossoms. The lotion is purely silk body lotion. Its amazing, it wont make ur skin oily but it'll get rid of dry skin and make it extremely smooth. :]

I have that problem too! Only in the winter though.

What I'm trying out right now is I only wash my face every few days. In the days im not washing my face, I drown it in lotion, and any pimples I get I only wash that little area with the pimple, and I put a dab of some pimple medicine stuff I have on it. I'm normally supposed to put it all over my face...but its just too dang dry!

Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but choose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in well and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...
