My father has lung cancer....any advice how to approach this?!
Question: I just found a few hours ago and I am trying to understand what is my position in helping him make the decision to fight this, but at the same time keep the family strong too. This is difficult to handle.

Support him in ALL his decisions, whether you agree with them or not . Spend time with him and talk about things when you were a kid (no matter how old you are). He'll like that and will be surprised you remembered those things. Be POSITIVE even when he is NOT! Talk about more than just his cancer and give him the respect he deserves as your father. Contact the HOSPICE in your area. They are great at helping you deal with the hundreds of emotions everyone involved will face, what to expect, and what to do. Most importantly, if you havent told him, tell him EVERYDAY that you LOVE HIM!!! Good Luck!!
well the only thing you can do is be there to support him. Whatever decision he makes is ultimately up to him
Pray! And try to stay with small hospitals or doctors like practices big hospitals want to rip u off.
be as optamistic as possible...I am going through the same thing. All I know is what Im going to do, and that is spend lots of time with my dad and be there for him during his fight.
It is your father's decision. Support what he wants to do. Be there for him.
