Generally, if there is something major going on you'll be contacted sooner but there may be some offices that simply can't deal with the volume of patient's any faster than this. If all looks OK, your doc's office gets a report, and lots of places now mail an all-clear report to the patient. When I had my mammogram that found cancer, I was aware of it within two days.
THAT'S TYPICAL FOR A DOCTOR'S OFFICE ESPECIALLY NOW DAYS. HOWEVER, IF YOUR DOCTOR AND THE PLACE YOU HAD THE MAMMOGRAM AT ARE GOOD THEY WILL CALL YOU WITH ANY ISSUES. I WOULDN'T HURT TO CALL THEM IN A FEW DAYS IF YOU ARE WORRIED. AFTER ALL THEY ARE GETTING PAID BY YOU AND THE OTHER PATIENTS THEY SERVICE.
