Whats the difference between long sighted and short sighted?!

Both are refractive errors of the lens- more precisely the capillary muscles which control the thickness of the lens.
In short sightedness, the muscles are too weak and dont stretch the lens enough. This thick lens can only focus well on objects close to it. If you look at something far away, the muscles cant stretch the lens enough so distant objects appear out of focus and blurry.
In long sightedness, the lens is over stretched and so can focus very well on distant objects. The muscles cannot relax enough to make the lens thicker to focus on near objects. Near objects appear out of focus.

I believe short sighted is when you can only see up close more easily and you need glasses to see far. Long sighted is the opposite.
