Can I spread my own active herpes type I further into my cervix?!

Question: This is is serious question. i was just diagnosed with Herpes I yesterday - confirmed blood test. i have 1 small sore on my labia, and one very small cut like sore on the corner of my lip.

last nite my new boyfriend - because I knew not to have sex- wanted me to masturbate for him with a glass dildo- which I did (stupid- i know). now, this morning i have some pain in my cervix, my inner labia feel a little inflamed and looks a little red. (i didnt have this pain previously.) Could i have now infected myself further in this area?? Could I have spread my own active herpes type I further into my cervix?or do you think I just aggravated it because it was already infected? he did not touch me at all.
Please help- I'm very upset with myself and hope I havent done more damage. my dtr. will not be availabe until tuesday and I am so worried. any information is appreciated.
Thank you.

The pain in your cervix is a normal symptom of a primary outbreak of herpes, whether type 1 or 2. My cervix was so uncomfortable I couldn't sit in any position that would make it stop feeling uncomfortable. It wasn't very pleasant - but absolutely typical of a first outbreak - I didn't blister, but I had a sore like a 'cut' and my labia were very red and inflamed. It laso looked a bit like I had a rask on them.

If they have given you meds, it really will go down within a few days. I think my symptoms lasted about 5-6 days after the stage you're at. The bit where my cervix hurt was the worst bit, but it didn't last more than 3 days or so.

No outbreak you have after this is going to be as bad - they will be nothing in comparison.

I doubt you have spread the virus. Genital hepres is just genital herpes, and can recur anywhere in the genital region - the area covered by a pair of boxer shorts. Mine tend to occur on the labia, but they can come back anywhere from front to back, or on either side. It's like it likes to surprise me.

I wouldn't worry - I carried on having sex with my boyfriend right through the first signs of infection until it got too painful - I didn't realise it was herpes to begin with. He didn't get it from me genitally fortunately, even though I was having a primary outrbeak, because he has oral type 1 and it was him who gave it to me in the first place.

No, once it is in the system, it is there. It can pop up where ever it pleases. Having sex during an active outbreak may aggravate it or make that particular outbreak worse.

You can infect a different part of the body if you had open sores. There's no way to know right now if you actually infected another area - it takes about one week for symptoms to appear, so any symptoms you have a this time are due to something else.
