Levaquin side effects -- about the rash?!

Question: I saw my doctor, and he started me on levaquin for the rash on my upper right arm. Now, I can hardly walk, my knees hurt so much. I read about some of the side effects, and I think this is more dangerous to finish than to not take any more.

Several people told me to get to a dermatologist -- and that's what I planed, but here I am with pains where I didn't know you could hurt... and still on the antibiotic that I think caused the cluster of pus pockets on the arm for some others.

He did tell me that the one I shaved off looked great -- but not to shave this off because the cluster is too big.

Help... do I finish it -- 4 days left? Or what -- I am out of town and cannot get back to my doctor for over a week. The cluster rash is drying out fine on its own.

Please advise me.

Thanks

Tori

T-birdsky, ..seems as though the stress of the initial physical ailment has been compounded. I just Prayed For Your Swift Recovery from such an annoying (hopefully non-health-threatening) inconvenience.

Questions could be as good as answers on this. The swarming, and snowballing effect of pharmaceuticals'll have your organism so off-kilter that if you're not careful there'll be nothing but side-effects, and other side-effects from treating side-effects. Then, boom, you're pharmaceutically-challenged. I would strongly suggest forestalling such probable complications by increasing focus on lifestyle and natural remedies. The onset of autoimmune diseases believed to be expedited by frivolous (big-business) pharmaceutical overuse could be a one way ticket that you'd want to avoid if at all possible. I highly recommend your purchase of the following book from GNC or wherever... (guaranteed to be the best 20 some odd bucks you've ever spent) ..." Prescription for Nutritional Healing "(James F. Balch, [M.D] / Phyllis A. Balch, [C.N.C.]).

No time is a bad time to make it happen Tbird. P.S. ...don't worry too much.../...having a safe trip would help alot.

Dr.'s do have phones~call him!!Share your observations/symptoms with his nurse! He'll call ya back!!
Pharmacists are also very resourseful people to talk too!!
2nd opinions never hurt either!!

call the docter and tell him what happen and and ask him what he and find out what u can do

Tori :

If the medication is causing pain, I would stop taking the medication and when you get back to your homeplace, I would try to get into the doctor as quickly as possible. You must be careful going off of medication because symptoms can come back worse than before. It's really your call. You must weigh the pro's and con's of the medication before doing something extravagant, like quitting the medication. Is there a doctor in the vicinity of your location ? Keep me informed of your situation. I hope everything goes ok.
