OMG... I just got over mine! I finally went to my dr & he believes in OTC meds (thank goodness). He told me to get Mucinex DM 1200 mg & take Dimetapp. If you can't find Dimetapp, just ask your pharmacist what is equal to it. I used these & drank lots of hot tea with lemon & honey. Don't try using your voice!!!

Tylenol or ibuprofen on a regular basis will help you feel better; an over the counter decongestant (either pill or liquid) will help, increase your water intake, rest your voice as much as possible and run a humidifier in the bedroom where you sleep. Your voice will come back when the virus starts to go away. In the meantime, the fastest recovery comes from voice rest.

Some inhaler like Vicks and strepsils or any other lozenges may help you.
Good luck!

Your a case study for Vicks Vapor Rub. Take one of the old mans undershirts. Rub the Vicks on your chest, and neck. You will be able to sleep and it will clear you up.
