Dealing with cancer?!

Question: My Papa found out about a month ago that he has cancer somewhere around his kidney, as well as skin cancer that he has had for years. He is very weak and also has emphyzema, so his cancer is untreatable. The only thing they are giving him is pain meds. The doctor initially told us he had 6 months to a year left. However, yesterday he started hallucinating, speaking in the past tense, and using a different voice. He was also shaking very badly (his whole body.) One nurse told us he has a few days left, and another nurse with hospice told us a couple of weeks to a month. My question is, have any of you dealt with this? And if you have and your loved one experienced this, how long did they have left?

It really could be any minute. My father-in-law got leukemia and we were told 3-6 months. He died 3 days later. Say what you need to say, hug like you need to hug, and listen like you need to listen to him. Do it now. Do not wait for tomorrow.

My mother was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer a year and a half ago. We were told she would last at the most six months. She is still doing great, and is even still working. However, what you listed here, I'm sorry to say, sounds like a very advanced stage of cancer. I lost my grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt to cancer. Cancer differs for everyone. There is no way of knowing the when and where of it. All I can tell you is that it's best to think of your loved one's life and not the disease. My heart goes out to you and you family.

Listen to the hospice nurse. This is their specialty and they know more about this and has more experiance than all of us and the doctors combined. Besides, he or she knows your Papa and his condition.

is this cancer by chance called adrenal cortical carcinoma?
If it is not then will you tell me what it is and i will do any thing to help you find out more about is knowledge is power.
