Question: well, I decided to shave my legs. Not in the shower, but just dry. and now they're really itchy and red dots are all over them. How can I make them go away? And how did I get them?

u shud never shave any part of ur body while dry. u r scraping off ur skin and as a result its itchy because its trying to repair itself and those red dots are from iritation/ razor burn and a close shave with no lubrication. always use at the minimum water and soap, the best is to use shaving cream. you can get rid of the discomfort by rubbing baby/almond oil on or lotion. they should go away by morning.

Razorburn. You need moisture to shave your legs..use lots of lotion but you basically just have to give it time!

What did you use? A butterknife????

you shaved dry...you have razor burn...if you have any kind of lotion you would use for a rash...put some on there..neo is good...if you dont have time to shower..stick your foot in the sink and at least use soap and water...it will prevent it from happening again

lotion lotion lotion. and it could be because of how you shaved them dry, i recommend doing it in the shower next time or wetting your legs before hand. did u use shaving gel? that'll help next time.

Well it wasn't a Smart idea to shave your legs when they are not wet. Was this your first time shaving? Did you use shaving cream? If not that may be one of the reasons. They are Razor Bumps. Usually when you shave they say soak your legs in Warm water and Shave. You can try to take a Warm bath or Shower but they wont go away for a day or two. Next time don't shave your legs dry

OUCH!! Do not shave dry again! You must use shaving cream and water, take your time or you might cut yourself.
The red dots may be either small nicks or ingrown hairs. They will eventually go away, just use lotion to help soothe the skin. Wait a week or so till you try to shave again.

The fact that you shaved them with no water or soap is what caused this. This is because it irritates and pulls the skin instead of gliding over it. Put lots of lotion on, like Aveeno or other unscented stuff. It will go away soon, but try to avoid doing this often : ).

If you used a razor dry - it is called razor burn!! Any soothing hydrocortizone based cream will help or even neosporin anti bacterial pain relief cream. If you don't have any use some kind of lotion. It may burn a little but it will help relieve the pain and will start to feel better quickly!! It should clear up in a day or two. If it does not or starts to look infected you will need to go to the doctor. Next time later your legs with soap before you shave!! It will prevent this!! Also be carefull of shaving creams and lotions the first time you use them - test them on a small section to make sure you are not going to have an allergic reaction!! Good Luck!!

Did you use shaving cream? If not that was a pretty dumb thing to do. You probably have razor burn. Put some aloe gel / lotion on it, and make sure you don't shave again until it goes away.

You've got razorburn, or ingrown hairs. Use lotion on them. Next time use shaving cream.

hahhahaha NEVER ever dry shave...... red bumps are razor burn and dry shaving is just horrible its tears your legs up.. start moisturizing ALOT!!!! then dont ever do it again.... ( iuse conditioner or shampoo or even body wash to shave my legs works just as well as shaving cream and leaves my legs soft..
