I've been throwing up phlegm for the past hour?!
Question: I've had a REALLY bad cold all week, and I just started throwing up phlegm about an hour ago. Not to be gross, but its kind of alot. Is that normal?

You must either have a sinus infection or you are coughing and swallowing before it gets to your mouth. There are a lot of people with it right now I treated over 30 patients yesterday in the ER but all but two of them were viral. There is not a lot you can do for a virus. except lots of water, vitamin C, Zinc, Zicam, and Mucinex. As long as you don't run a fever over 100 degrees it is a virus. Hope you feel better soon.
Oh Sweetie, sound like you might have pneumonia. You should see a doctor if it doesn't stop.
M.D.W. is right, you may have walking pneumonia, I have had it before and I was totally sick with a nasty cold and then I got an upset stomach.
you need to see a doctor A.S.A.P. , you could have a number if complications come about super fast..One of them is choking while you sleep. You need to get treated to stop the mucus and get checked to make sure that you haven't paralyzed your diaphragm temporarily, this is what happened to me, if I had wait even 2 more days I would have had full on pneumonia (also known as drowning).
