Basically, it's cells that are growing too quickly and destroying other cells. What causes cancer? Too many things to count- genetics, cigarette smoke, certain foods, x-rays, alcohol, unsafe sex, chemicals... the list goes on and on.

It is when your DNA mutates. The mutations cause rapid and uncontrolled cell growth that results in a tumor. So... It's a change in the coding of your body, a glitch, basically. Usually it can be corrected by removing the tumorous growth. DNA mutations can be caused by a massive variety of things, though most mutations cause harmless or even beneficial changes. Just avoid being near and breathing in chemicals in general and you should be good =-)

In the most basic terms, cancer is caused by an accumulation of mutations to a cell that allow it to grow without limitation in parts of the body where it shouldn't grow.

Some folks in the Alternative Medical Field have claimed that Cancer is nothing more than a Vitamin deficiency , just as Scurvy was caused by a deficiency of Vitamin C.To find out for yourself, do an Internet Search, and enter " A World without Cancer " and when the Page comes up, go to the Video by G. Edward Griffin by that Title. It's 55 Minutes long, but well worth a View.

Cancer happens when normal cells change so that they grow in an uncontrolled way. This uncontrolled growth causes a tumour to form.

Nobody knows what causes this to happen. Cancer specialists don't know, so nobody here will.

Smoking has been linked to lung and some other cancers, and excessive sun exposure to skin cancers - but other than that we're still pretty much in the dark.

Many people, invariably those who have not had or studied cancer, have a pet theory about what causes cancer. You will probably get answers telling you it's down to diet or lack of exercise or some other unproven thing.

That's because it's easier for people who haven't had cancer to 'blame the victim' - to put an individual's cancer down to their lifestyle - rather than accept that it is a random, and still mysterious, disease that can strike any of us at any time

I used to think my organic vegan diet, plus all the juicing and exercising I did, would protect me from cancer. It didn't. Nor did it cure me.

So, the answer to your question is - nobody knows.

everyone gets cancer. its the immune system that fights it off. if you cant fight it off, that is when doc deem you as having it. they are not sure what causes it. thats why they say everything.
