Is this the worst disease ever?!

Question: Read the articles and the comments. The comments were even worse than the story.http://abcnews.go.com/Primetime/story?id... I think this and other diseases like chronic bad breath and bromidrosis are the worst diseases you can have. It's the worst because of the way people treat you. Imagine being shunned from society like this. It is terrible that you can't go anywhere without people ridiculing you. At least when you have cancer or heart disease no one treats you badly. My aunt had breast cancer and died a terrible death but I would pick that over TMAU.

Describing any particular disease or set of diseases as "the worst" is ridiculous. Each person's experience with any kind of disease is unique and difficult in different ways. I had cyclic vomiting syndrome as a child which has eased into migraine variants. I have dealt with people shunning me, ridiculing me, and not believing what's wrong with me (especially supposing that I'm bulimic) because of the rarity of the disease. Vomiting episodes are an extremely intense and debilitating experience, but they have less obvious long term effects on my teeth, GI tract, and mental health. Even so, I would never suggest that this disease is the worst or that other people with other diseases haven't had greater difficulties than I ever have.

Bad breath is worse than a terrible death?

I don't know, I think the guy with fifty pound tumor on his face ought to be in the running somewhere
