Cyst is essentially a collection of fluid being contained neatly in a bag covered by a layer of tissue called capsule.
The cyst of the wrist joint which increase and reduce in size from time to time is called Ganglion.Ganglion is a collection of joint fluid contained within a capsule and connected to the joint-not the bone.Rarely there are cysts that arise pimarily from the bone itself.
The cystic swelling that is mobile on the neck is most probably a lipoma(tumour of fat cells)
Both conditions are benign-they are not cancer.
In general, if a lump is small(less than 5 cm), soft,,mobile, not stuck to the overlying skin or underlying muscles and they are not causing pain, than its very unlikely for the lump to be a cancer. It is more likely to be a benign lump. The exception is when there is superimposed infection or inflammation, than the lump will be red and painful.
