My mum's got SLE Lupus and my life fell apart?!
Question: I started doing my own research and realised that there is life with Lupus, it seems under control at the mo, she's driving and thank God she not bad.

Hi and just want to say that you being there for your Mum,
while she gets used to this illness, will be a great support for her.
I have had SLE for 5+years, and from the other Lupus Sufferers that I have got to know, in that time. I have realised, that we all experience this illness differently.
I have no major organ involvement, but suffer with joint pain and swelling and mobility. I have my good days and my bad ones. When Im well I try to crack on and get on with living as much as possible.
Your mum needs a good Rheumatologist, and if you can. see if she can be referred to St Thomas's Lupus Centre in London, they have a dedicated Centre there just for us.

Also there are a number of sites and organisations that you can take a look at, that will be of help and advice and support, for you and your mum. They may be able to point you in the direction of a Local Lupus group in your area, as well as some forums where you will find other people going through similiar experiences, other sufferers and their families etc.
