Daily headaches? HELP PLEASE?!

Question: I am almost 15 years old and every day I have a headache. I'm trying to find out what it is that is causing my headaches, and I already found a few things out. First of all, I know that they are not migraines. They are a dull, uncomfortable squeeze that I believe to be tension headaches.

I am not sure what are causing these daily headaches, and I do not think that it it anything serious like a tumor, because I am experiencing any tumor symptoms and my headaches are not morning hedaches that get better throughout the day (Like tumor headaches are), but rather afternoon headaches that just don't go away until I go to sleep.

Here is a list of possible contributing factors:

- I drink a lot of iced tea eat day which could be high in caffeine and cause headaches. (But then again, I didn't drink any yet today and I already have one...)

- I play a lot of videogames (But then again, I didn't play any yet today...)

- I have recently found out that I am a hypochondriac with anxiety

A main cause of headache is dehydration. Even being mildly dehydrated can make your head pound and cause achiness - you might even feel like you are coming down with a virus. If you drink a lot of iced tea, the caffeine in it (a diuretic) may be causing you to urinate more and you will have a fluid deficit. Try alternating plain water with your iced tea and see if it helps the headache problem.

Also, make sure you are getting enough rest and you are eating properly. Maybe your blood sugar takes a dive in the afternoon which can cause head pain, too.

Finally, learn some relaxation techniques - such as tensing all of your muscles at once, then slowly releasing the squeeze starting from your feet up. Take several deep, slow breaths (in through the nose, out through the mouth) which will get more oxygen to your muscles and help you relax. Try massaging the base of your skull, your temples, your jaw...wherever you feel a lot of tension. If you find yourself clenching or grinding your teeth a lot, try to recognize when it starts and relax your jaw.

Hope this helps.

Maybe you need some glasses

there are 2 herbs that work well together
feverfew and sckullcap
