accutane is one of the most popular pills prescribed these days by dematologists. you can read abou tthe side effects at rxlist.com. you will have to have regular blood tests because it is very hard on the liver. people who suffer from depression are at risk for greater depression not to mention they are usually on antidepressants that are also hard on the liver. best to talk it all out with your doc and do your own search online too. there's a ton of info on it out there now.
if you use an acne pill your dr should put you on a birth control pill as well. Not saying you 'need' one but the acne pills cause SEVERE birth defects in unborn babies. So if you are of childbearing age, female...just in case

should at least know what it is called before you go on it. It is the most serious acne drug, and it is the last resort. So DO NOT TAKE IT LIGHTLY.
I however, have not experienced any major side affects, just dry lips, and beautiful skin!!!!
