I have a weird rash on my eye lid. It's pretty small but what is it?!

Question: Whenever I put make up there which is eye shadow that I wear occasionally, it burns. It's red and peeling like a sun burn. It's small, maybe half the size of a dime and only right above the one eye lid. I still don't know where it came from or when it started. I thought maybe I splattered boiling water or something by accident when I was cooking. Or when I had my hair done they got the stuff that they use to make highlights there. But that was a really long time ago and by now if that was the case, it should be gone. I didn't wear make up in weeks and I did yesterday and it came back or is still there. It started burning again and I can see it was a little red and a little bit peeling. So what could it be, any ideas?

I have the problem too! You must have an allergy to the eye make up! You need get rid of it!! And but a different brand! I have found that the cheaper brands do that to me!!

The eyelid has very thin sensitive skin. It sounds like it may be the start of excema. You should probably get it checked out just to be safe.
Things you can do to make it less irritated is to use a gentle face wash if you don't already. Try something like Cetaphil daily skin wash.

Are you using the same make-up? You need to throw it away, and maybe try make up for sensitive skin. The old make-up is infected now with what ever the problem is that causes you to break out.
