What is autism?what are the signs?!
Question: My son has mild autism. When he was a toddler he would not respond to his name. Do repetitive motion the same thing over and over. You need to catch it in the early years of your child's life for them to have a chance. I went to early interventions and we were able to get speech therapy and motor skill therapy. That helped alot. I then took him to a specialist because we needed to know how severe his autism was. He started to crawl late, walk late, did not talk until age 4. The specialist told me that I would never hear I LOVE YOU MOMMY FROM HIM. Now I hear everything that he has to say. With alot of hard work from the whole family my son is in first grade in a 12-1-1 program, he stays in the regular class room with all the "normal" children. He is took out of class for speech class or if he has a melt down.(screaming, helling, not sitting still). There is a web sight called autism speaks.com.
