Is it true that the symptoms of syphilis and hiv"window period" are si!

Question: I am not sure what you mean about "window period".

HIV is pretty much a silent disease until the virus completely overwelms the immune system. There can be an initial episode of "flu-like symptoms" but in most people, it isn't noticed or is very mild. The only way to know if you have HIV is to get tested for it.

Syphilis has three stages - I am assuming that you mean the first or initial stage. Syphilis differs from HIV in that it is caused by a bacteria, not a virus, and as such can be treated/cured via antibiotics. The issue with syphilis is that the symptoms are all very generalized - they can be symptoms of a lot of different diseases/illnesses.

Primary syphilis has a chancre as it's main symptom - a small firm round painless sore. It lasts a couple weeks and then is gone. again = it may not be noticed.

Secondary syphilis is marked with a rash and lesions in the mucus membranes. The rash is on multiple areas and is NOT itchy - on palms or soles of feet is most common.

Latent syphilis is the third stage and this has no symptoms at all. It can go on for years before the patient shows significant damage/illness - damage to organs, neurological changes, dementia and death.

Again, EVERYONE who is sexually active (whether or not they use condoms) should be tested on a annual basis for all sexually transmitted diseases. Most of these can be treated easily.

There is NO need for embarrassment or fear; believe me, the health care professional has seen and heard everything; their only concern is making sure you stay healthy.
