Im reading some of your answers and people are saying it depends on the strain of herpes...no...no herpes are curable not herpe simplex1 nor 2...they can go into a dormant stage in your body and seems to be gone, aslong as your immune system is healthy but it cant be cured...herpes is something you have to live with forever....if you ever had a cold sore on your lip it mean you have herpes...and you can spread that to someone else by kissing them or you can give someone genital herpes with it if you perform oral sex on them....
unfortunately it is incurable. You will need to be careful from this point on having sex and always use protection if you are diagnosed

nothing you are are branded for life you better go to the doctor and see if there is a medicine that you can take to help you but i am pretty sure that this is something that you can not get rid of. SORRY

There are medications you can get by prescription to treat it and I understand they work pretty well. However, it is incurable at this time.

unfortunatly there is no cure for herpes so u can't get rid of them. but u can supress them with medication which can be almost as good as getting rid of them.

Herpes simplex I, the most common type of herpes aka cold sores can be treated with Abreva or other topical cremes.
However genital herpes it uncurable, you'd have to visit your doctor to get a medication for it. It's still possible to spread them even if you're not currently having an outbreak.
