Can't shake cold?!

Question: My daughter had a bad cold for about 3 days but she's great now. I caught it from her but I can't seem to shake it. I've had it for almost a week now and it hasn't gotten any better. My nose is super congested, to the point where over the counter meds aren't really helping. I'm only sleeping a couple of hours a night because my nose plugs up and drains into my throat - causing me to wake up gagging. My kid didn't have it near as bad as me. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions that may help me out? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!

Aughh I know how you feel, I had a cold a few weeks ago that I thought was never going to go away, but it eventually did. Claritin-D helped a little with the congestion, but not much, lol. But taking simple ibuprofen helped with headaches and sore throat. Ricola cough drops help with sore throats if you get one. Try rubbing vicks on your chest to breath it in when you're sleeping, it helps with congestion. Also, eat lots of chicken noodle soup and jello, I did haha. And drink cranberry juice, its very good for your immune system, or orange juice. Feel better soon!!

Buy sambucol. You can get it at GNC or on the internet. It really gets rid of colds, the British did a study and it works for my family. http://www.fluwikie.com/pmwiki.php?n=Con...
