Can you have colon cancer at the age of 30?!

Question: i have some symptoms but it can be something else.

Answers: i have some symptoms but it can be something else.

Unless you have a family history of familial adenomatous polyposis then it is not very likely that you could have colon cancer at age 30. It is more likely that you have a much more common bowel problem related to either irritable bowel disease, chronic constipation and/or poor diet habits. Your family Dr can tell you for sure whether or not you need to be evaluated for colon cancer but chances are this is not the source of your colon problems. good luck

Yes, however some foods cause pain and problems.
Too much Red meat, drinking chlorinated water, the by products of chlorination are harmful to the colon. Certain herbs can cause bleeding, alcoholic beverages.
Tomatoes, tomato sauces are helpful. Whole grain breads and cereals with fiber are beneficial.

never hurts to get checked out, if your 30 or over for sure

yes

yes. please get a colonoscopy immediately. My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer at age 44. The doctor who diagnosed my father last summer (he died 6 wks later) insisted that our entire family have colonoscopy's (told us to contact our doctors immediately) including my 13 year old son.

There is a type of colon cancer called Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer is responsible for approximately 2 percent to 7 percent of all diagnosed cases of colorectal cancer. The average age of diagnosis of cancer in patients with this syndrome is 44 years old...approximately 30% are diagnosed before age 40 years
