Doctor's can't diagnose this pain on left upper side of stomach...?!

Question: My husband keeps healthy... for X-mas 07 he started getting this pain in his stomach (left side), right underneath his rib cage and it went around to his back left side. I took him to the emergency room where they did every blood test, urine test, x-ray, cat scan they could think of & NOTHING was diagnosed! They tested for ulsers, goal stones, hepatitis, everything but nothing was diagnosed. They said it could've been some viral infection, but they weren't sure so they had him go home & later see a specialist. New doctor stuck a camera down his throat to his stomach, and took a biobsy of his liver... and NOTHING! Mind you by the time he went to the speciallist, in mid January, the pain was gone. Now it's end of Feb. & the pain returned once at the beginning of the month and again right now; we just don't know what to do and we're tired of paying doctors who just tell us nothing is wrong with him... umm, excuse me, but "nothing" does not hurt... help!!!

Hummm...... could be devered pain from T-7 being out (chiro) . Could be muscle pain from lack of potassium and magnesiumin the diet. Possibly need a gallbladder cleanse due to microscoping crystals. .... lets see...........OH this one time I knew a man that came into our clinic, he had body pain that no one could figure out where it was coming from and it ended up his testosterone level had dropped to like 200...... it should have been 1300 at his age.

Possibly a hernia that is so deep that drs cant see it the way he is laying during testing. I suggest standing him up while they feel around on his stomach area. Possibly hanging him upside down on a inversion table and rubbing the area would help it close and adjust.

Is the pain radiating? I would take his blood work to a good naturalpathic dr and let them look at the tests just to see what they can come up with. Or you could find a diagnostic dr.... go to your local medical school and see if they will look at it with fresh eyes. They probably wont do it since they could be held responsible.

Possibly focus on his kidney and spleen health if its radiating to the front of his body.

Well those are my suggestions. Hope this helps you. You could also contact Riverbend Nutrition in Tulsa/Bixby Oklahoma (google it for phone number) and talk to the lady that owns it. He name is Rose, she has helped a lot of people that the regular medical field couldnt help. You could also send her a fax of your husbands blood work. Its amazing what she catches.

No test is 100% accurate.
On the patients right hand side, in the
upper abdomen is located the liver,
gallbladder which is toward the front.
The one kidney is located more toward the
back area. On the patients left hand side
there is part of the stomach, the spleen
and toward the back part is the other kidney.
The problem with pain is that it can be
a referred pain...by this I mean the patient
could have pain in one area, but the problem
is in another. For example: people who
have heart attacks feel pain in the jaw,
neck, or left arm...not necessarily over the
heart. Gallbladder pain is usually located
in the upper part of the abdomen, more
toward the middle on the right hand side.
Kidney pain is located mostly in the back
and goes down the front side down toward
where the appendix is at.
Pain can come from pulled muscles also and also from fractured ribs. Fractured
ribs don't show up well on many tests.
I would not give up and I would inform the
doctor of the pain recurring and tell him
exactly what the pain feels like: stabbing,
burning, sharp, dull, etc....where exactly the
pain is located and if it seems to occur
more often when doing something and if
it is even there when the patient rests....
tell him if anything that he may do helps to
relieve the pain some, like walking...bending forward, etc. Tell him if he feels the pain is
worst more at certain times than at other
times. Let him know any medications he
is taking for it. Also how bad the pain is on
a scale of one to ten...ten being the worst
ever. Adding to the tests he has already
done: the kidney being located in the back
with ducts leading down to the bladder...
stones may have formed and if they move
out of the kidney to the bladder and are
in those ducts, they can cause pain until
they pass. This is the only other thing
that I could think of since they have already
tested mostly for everything else.
Pancreatic pain is usually located under
the rib cage clear across the front also and can radiate up toward the shoulder area and back area.

I hope this information may be of some help.
